Harris County MUD 71 (“MUD 71”) is a political subdivision of the State of Texas, created by the Texas Natural Resource Conservation Commission. MUD 71 serves the residents of Westland Creek Village, Lakes of Bridgewater, Bridgewater Pointe, Bridgewater Village, and Enclave at Bridgewater.
MUD 71 is empowered, among other things, to purchase, construct, operate and maintain all works, improvements, facilities and plants necessary for the supply and distribution of water; the collection, transportation, and treatment of wastewater; and the control and diversion of storm water. MUD 71 is also responsible for collection of household waste. MUD 71 also oversees the development, planning, construction, and operation of parks and recreational facilities which are created to improve the overall district.
